The Road to Recovery

My training on Wednesday was AMAZING. Thursday was an 8-mile, 5-hour kayaking trip on flat ocean water. It took A LOT out of me. Then, since I insisted on having my kettlebells in the San Juans, I had to carry it on to the ferry back to Anacortes. That farmer’s walk wasn’t so bad. What was NOT fun was the 1/2 mile farmer’s walk off the ferry, down the walkway, across the loading zone, and down to the car.  AFTER 5 hours of paddling, mind you.  Needless to say, no snatching for me last night.

This morning I got up, and was back at it again. It wasn’t a pretty session, but I got my set of 60 in (30 each side). It was tough with the tired shoulders, but I think that the work while fatigued only sets me up better for the snatch test in two weeks.

With Jill gone, I now have two weeks to tighten up the diet again before my trip to Mpls. A nice, clean, day and I already feel better. And, I even had my favorite fish tacos for lunch. :-)

LMAO – it’s a good thing you have so few cravings! I am not so fortunate, and just have to wait it out. ;-)
