It’s been an eventful 6 weeks, no question about it. Lots of changes in my world.
Last weekend I attended the Z-Health I-Phase certification. While R-Phase is focused on rehab and basic movements, I-Phase is about integrating these movements and including more of the bodies system in to movement. It was another weekend of drinking from the firehose, but it really brought together a lot of the R-Phase concepts for me, and I feel considerably better equipped to help my clients. We spent a lot of time breaking down movement to figure out how to make it as efficient as possible, learning about the role of the eyes and inner ear system on movement, and then bunches about motivation.
I got to meet a lot of great trainers, and got some fantastic help with my squat. In about 10 minutes we completely changed my squat form for the better, and pistols and rock-bottom squats are no longer a pipe dream for me. Having the I-Phase tools in my toolkit, I know that my body will only move better over time.
