“Ab Work”

The one thing my female clients consistently ask for is “ab work”. That is a tough thing to do in the kettlebell world, because virtually everything is “ab work”.  Having said that, if you aren’t quite behind the idea of always lifting heavy so that maximal tension is required to get the weight up, some drills are better suited to the task than others. My Favorites:

  • Renegade Rows. Having to hold plank, as I mention in my previous post, makes it a killer for the abs.
  • TGU Sit-up
  • Lunge Cocktail. Another Art of Strength classic.
  • Just about anything that keeps bells overhead — Overhead Lunge, Overhead Walk, etc.

I’m sure there are others, but these are my personal favorites that always get some play in my classes.

Nice blog. I’ll make sure to come back and get some valuable information. I wish I learned about kettlebells sooner. But I’m making up for lost time.

    Thanks,
