Right Tool for the Job

Over the past few months I’ve spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out why I’m drawn to the things I am, and why some things resonate with me and others do not. Simplicity, Occam’s Razor, Efficiency, Effectiveness, Balance, and taking a Holistic Approach are all important to me. When I combine that with my values of Learning, Problem Solving and Making a Difference, I end up here.

The reason I teach kettlebells (and soon, Z-Health) is because I really believe they are the right tools for the job – living a healthy, strong, pain-free life.

I talked to my 92-year-old grandfather today, and while he is still in good health he is very weak and can’t get very far. He is suffering from nothing other than “use it or lose it”; he needs to start walking, and knows it. I hope to live to 92, but I also want to be active. I’ve always said that I want the option to jump out of an airplane when I’m 80, and to be able to do that means finding something that is quick, easy, and efficient so you can stick with it during everything life throws at you.
